The Institute for Devolution Studies (IDS) is a premier Institute dedicated to advancing devolution and strengthening county governance across Kenya. Established to support county and national governments, IDS provides cutting-edge Training, Research, Consultancy and policy Advisory services that empower county institutions and communities to realize the full promise of devolution.

These centers largely contribute to the mandate of the Institute for Devolution Studies by driving specialized programs, research, and advisory services across its key focus areas, which are summarized as below.
